Sorcha Edwards Takes the Helm at Housing of Europe

Housing of Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Sorcha Edwards as its new Secretary General. Ms. Edwards brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of housing to this crucial role.

As Secretary General, Ms. Edwards will be responsible for leading the organization's institutional relations and coordinating its Secretariat's activities. She will also serve as the public face of Housing of Europe, representing the organization's interests and advocating for the provision of high-quality, affordable housing throughout Europe.

Ms. Edwards has a deep understanding of the European housing sector and a proven track record of successful advocacy. Prior to joining Housing of Europe, she held several senior positions within the Irish housing sector, including Director of Housing Policy and Strategic Planning for Dublin City Council.

Housing of Europe President David Joyce welcomed Ms. Edwards' appointment, noting her passion for the provision of affordable housing and her commitment to working with all stakeholders to address the housing challenges facing Europe.

"Sorcha's leadership and expertise will be invaluable to Housing of Europe as we work to promote the development and implementation of sustainable housing policies across the continent," said Mr. Joyce.

Ms. Edwards expressed her excitement about taking on this new role and working with Housing of Europe's members to improve the lives of European citizens.

Housing of Europe is the European Federation of Public, Cooperative, and Social Housing. It represents over 40 million social housing tenants in 24 European countries.
