Sub-headline: Toll Road Connects Chicago and Indiana
Toll Increase for Two-Axle Vehicles
The Chicago Skyway, a 78-mile toll road connecting the Indiana Toll Road to the Dan Ryan Expressway, has begun accepting sticker tags for payment. This change eliminates the need for drivers to carry cash, speeds up processing, and reduces emissions.
The toll for two-axle vehicles on the Chicago Skyway will also increase. The new toll rate will be $4.00, up from the previous rate of $2.25. This change takes effect immediately.
The Chicago Skyway is a major transportation artery connecting Chicago and Indiana. The toll road is used by over 100,000 vehicles per day. The switch to sticker tags and the toll increase are expected to help improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.
